Sphere Architects offers value for money services to our clients for a variety of different types of projects, including community centres, churches, sporting facilities, and any other accessible public buildings which require specialist accessible design for disabled people.

Most of our work is for shires and churches, but we have experience in customised design of granny flats too.

Sphere Architects has been in operation for eight years. The principal, Jero Young has over 30 years of experience working as an architect in Australia and Africa, and has been registered with the Architects Board of Western Australia for 16 years. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Architects.

We work with a group of engineers, interior designers, landscape, architect, cost consultants, to deliver a suite of services which helps you to make informed decisions about your project.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

We work with you to conceptualise your ideas using a combination of two dimensional drawings and three dimensional modelling, including video fly-throughs.

Contract Administration and Project Management

Once you are happy with the building design, we amplify the drawings to create detailed drawings which can be used for tender and construction by the builder. We manage the Development Applications and Building Permit Applications on your behalf.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

We will manage your project through construction phase to completion by holding periodic site meetings with the contractor to monitor quality, program and costs.

ACCESSIBLE BUILDINGS DESIGN

Sphere Architects has specialised in accessible design for public buildings. This covers the design of all the elements required to provide safe and compliant wheelchair access to buildings for people with a disability – from accessible parking bays, accessible ramps, universal access toilets (UATs), ambulant toilets and changing places, all to meet the stringent requirements of Australian Standard 1428.

GRANNY FLATS

We have undertaken the design and contract administration of a granny flat and we are familiar with the planning requirements associated with obtaining planning approval for these domestic buildings.
